Step into the spotlight and be part of the SA Seafood Industry Awards 2026 — South Australia’s premier celebration of excellence, innovation and achievement across the seafood sector. Whether you’re a fisher, processor, chef, retailer or industry champion, this is your opportunity to showcase outstanding contributions to sustainability, quality and community leadership.

The Awards honour the dedication, passion and expertise that drive our state’s seafood industry forward. Recognition through these Awards not only highlights your commitment but connects you with peers, partners and leaders shaping the future of seafood in SA and beyond.

AWARD CATEGORIES AND CRITERIA

The judging panel will assess each nomination against the published judging criteria for each category of the SA Seafood Awards 2026.

Each criterion will be scored out of five, with all criteria weighted equally.

Nominations should therefore provide clear, comprehensive information about the nominee and demonstrate how, and to what extent, the nominee meets each criterion. Where possible, nominations should include both qualitative and quantitative evidence. Where a criterion is not applicable, this should be clearly stated in the nomination.

References to the seafood industry include wild-catch fisheries, aquaculture, and all segments of the seafood supply chain.

For the purposes of the Awards, an “entity” refers to an individual, partnership, business, or organisation operating within South Australia.

Where an award criterion refers to an “activity”, this may include an ongoing role, a one-off project, or a specific initiative or event undertaken or managed by the nominee.

Seafood Industry SA may review and update the SA Seafood Awards guidelines periodically to ensure they remain contemporary and aligned with industry priorities.
